General settings for adding Isa mail to mobile devices

When adding Isa mail to mobile devices you need to use the following settings:

• Email address or username: username@student.jyu.fi (e.g. mameikal@student.jyu.fi, do NOT use firstname.initial.lastname in this)

• Password: a separate "mobile password" that you need to get from https://salasana.jyu.fi ("Email address confirmation"-> login-> click the button"Create Isa Mail Mobile Password")

Adding the Isa mail account on different devices can usually be found on the menu that shows about adding email accounts. Generally the following account types may be found in the device:

Google

In case the device has a separete choice for a Google account, it is very likely that you only need to type in the username and mobile password (see above).

Exchange / Exchange ActiveSync / Mail for Exchange

• The server is m.google.com

• Leave "Domain" empty

• Email address / username / password: see above

IMAP, POP3, SMTP

• IMAP server / Incoming mail server is: imap.gmail.com. Always use SSL/TLS. Port is 993

• SMTP server / Outgoing maill server is: smtp.gmail.com. Always use SSL/TLS Port is 465 or 587

• Email address / username / password: see above
